A Little Halloween

I added a little Halloween décor into the Fall mix!

SONY DSC

It is my birthday so I kind of have to!  Just like all the other holiday and seasonal décor I’ve been doing the past few years, I’ve kept it a lot simpler than what I used to do.

SONY DSC

I showed you the mantel already with my little boy and girl busts wearing their fancy shmancy hats, but I added a little something in since then.

I bought a banner from one of the Etsy shops I featured recently ~ Kathy Jacobson and I think the banner finishes the mantel off nicely.  I think with my black and white décor I could leave the banner up all year long.  Until Christmas anyway.

I added in a witch I found at an estate sale last year.

I love the detail in her face.

I put the “Boo” sleeve on the black and white pillow on my sofa.

SONY DSC

A witchy hat that is one of my favorite pieces to put out for Halloween.

SONY DSC

I added a sign above the stove.

Trick or Treat ~ that’s dinner. It could go either way when I’m cooking!

SONY DSC

Finally, this cute little guy whose head bobbles.  My granddaughter likes him and I put him on the counter near where she sits when she eats.

That’s it for me for Halloween.  Sadly, we don’t get kids that come around to the condo community.  I found that out the first year we were here when I was the only one that had put a few outdoor decorations out and bought three big bags of candy.  Candy that I was then stuck with after Halloween!  So this little bit works out just fine for me.

I like the mostly black and white color scheme you have going here and thanks for the laugh about cooking. That was a good one. :)

It all looks great.. lovin that lil witchiepoo you found.

My cooking is a but of a mystery too.

we dont get kids in this community either so no outdoor decor here.

I wish you were closer to help me with my mantle. Seems like no matter what I put up there I cant get happy with it.

Happy Birtday. I love how you decorated. I have downsized my decorating for the holidays in the last few years also.

Hi Kathy, Happy Birthday!!
Love your Halloween decor. You know I love your decorating style and home. Everything is always so inspiring. Love your banner and yes, it would work year round. You could even add some small ornaments to the front of each at Christmas.
Great kitchen sign too.
We get so many kids at Halloween. I could send some your way if you want some trick or treaters, LOL

Enjoy your special day!

Your home is decorated perfectly!

This is the first year I didn't get my Halloween stuff out - maybe I will but I have been so danged busy and I am using my energies elsewhere. We get a lot of children but they don't care if we're not mega Halloween. There were many years when they all came to SEE our decorations - we used to go hog wild!

I adore that banner - yes, it's a year round keeper for sure. Love it.
