It actually turned cool enough that I decided to head up to the attic and get the Fall/Winter clothes switched out with the Spring/Summer clothes. While I was up in the attic, I came across a bag I had filled with some leaves and faux Fall florals. These had been used in my front door urn last year and I just wasn’t into using them this year. I pulled a few leaf pieces out and brought them down with me.
I thought these would work well on our buffet in the dining area. The spot where I just put the shutters up. I just put them in a glass vase I had. In case you were wondering, I colored out the faces on my daughter’s family picture in Photoshop. This post was so last minute and I didn’t have time to ask if it was okay. I actually forgot the picture was there until I downloaded the pictures.
I really like the height they bring to this area. It seemed to be missing something over here and I think it was something with some height. These leaf branches took care of the problem very well, I think, plus their coloring goes well with the ceramic pumpkins I have here.

Hi Kathy, the leaves add the finishing touch with the height. I brought down my winter sweaters and such too. We are starting to get cooler here too and rainy all day today.

The fall colors look amazing with your shutters and gold mirror. It's the perfect touch for autumn. I haven't done diddly squat this year so I'm just enjoying everyone else's decorating.
Perfect! I really like the leaf branches and the little arrow sign is cute! I think I just may skip fall decorating and just go right into Christmas. I've got one more wall to paint in the living room and then I can start decorating!
