I am joining in on the Top Projects 2010 linky party that Rhoda from Southern Hospitality is hosting. I knew that it was going to be a daunting task to look back over what I’ve done this year and I certainly have more to share than I did in last year’s post on this topic.
Starting back in January of this year, I made this cookie sheet memo board. I use this in my crafty area.
Also in January, I got my finished white slipcover for my living room sofa and in February I painted my coffee table black.
I finished up February and my living room with some stationery roller shades made out of wrapping paper tubes, fabric and ribbon.
Then, in March I painted a plain pine armoire black and, besides dressing up the doors with some decorative wood pieces, I replaced the wood knobs with glass ones.
I think that knocked out most of the furniture I was redoing for this year. In April, I pulled out my sewing machine and dusted it off to make this simple table runner with some scrap fabric I already had on hand.
On a smaller scale, I wanted a cloche and wasn’t willing to spend a lot of money. I had a vase that I turned into a cloche and with the help of a pillar candleholder from the PB outlet, it works.
And then because one wasn’t enough, I made this one out of a clock!
In October I painted my front door from white to black, and lucked out with a can of “oops” paint from Home Depot for $1.00!
Finally, I’ll end this post with a Goodwill lamp I redid for my daughter.
I have to say that putting this post together had me feeling really good about all these projects again {plus all the little ones I did in between}. I think 2011 will be a little lighter on the major projects as we do hope to downsize. It will be fun to decorate a new home when the time comes!

You had a productive year. I'm always afraid to paint furniture. Do you have a favorite paint? Love your armoire.
You did really well this year and I would be proud if it were me! I am glad I had a chance to see everything! The door and armoire are favorites...probably because my husband would never let me do something like this! lol!
XO,
Jane

My goodness Kathy you were really creative this past year. What a neat way to end the year showing us your accomplishments! It would not take me long to do this post. lol
Love love the sofa cover you made. How hard was it? Crazy for me to ask because I can barely sew a straight stitch. Also your cabinet turned out really nice. You make me want to get busy.
Thanks honey for supporting me this year and always knowing what to say to this ole grandma to make her feel better.
Hope you have a very Happy New Year and I am looking forward to getting to know you even better this coming year.
I always enjoy visiting your site

I still can't resist those window treatments you made!
They were the first project of yours I saw when I came here for the first time!
I AM going to try that this year--I think in Miss College Girl's Room (Sarah).
I have some empty paper rolls left over from Christmas wrapping :)
Just you wait and see- I will let you know when I'm done :)

What great projects Kathy! I love the table runner. I've dusted off my sewing machine (we made dog toys for Maxie for Christmas). So I'm ready to make so runners and placemats soon.

You accomplished quite a bit this year Kathy! I especially loved the slipcover you made for your sofa. I cannot wait to see what projects you have on your to do list for 2011! I cannot say that I had a productive year in regards to projects around the house despite my long to do list! Oh well, here's to a productive new year!
Happy New Year to you and your family!
