Coffee Table Reveal

Finally!  I was starting to worry that I was procrastinating over this project.  I put an end to that thinking last Thursday, when I was stuck at home because of a snow storm.  Thankfully, I had all the supplies I needed to tackle this table.  If you might recall from previous posts on my living room, this is the table before.

I used my free quart of Glidden black paint and, using a paint brush, painted the legs and side details.  I used a foam roller for the top of the table.  I did two coats on the base and three coats on the top.  I then put Minwax Polyurethane {in a spray can} over the whole thing.  Here is the after.

I am really pleased with the way it turned out!  I think it looks like a totally different table!  Next up on the list is an unfinished pine armoire.

Love the black table. It looks really good with your black and white in the room. I have a white slipcovered sofa, too in my sun room.

Your table looks great. The new black color really makes the artwork on the back wall pop. Did you sand down the table first?

Looks great, Kathy! I am so starting to really fall in love with black accent furniture pieces. I have sooo many things around the house I want to paint black. Think I better be careful, though, don't want to "overkill" it!

Oh, and thanks for your show of support with my whole weight-loss post! I'm sure I'm going to need all I can get! Have a great weekend.

Much better! You're ambitious during snow storms. I usually just stay inside with the dog in my lap and a cup of hot chocolate!

Hope you'll come visit AtticMag this week and see the tour of my home.
