Some Fresh Looks

I got the latest Ballard Designs catalog and, contrary to what I normally do, I looked through it rather than putting it in the recycling right away.  I try not to look through catalogs anymore because I tend to order things that I wind up having buyer’s remorse about.

The Ballard’s catalog is a weakness for me!  I love to look through the catalog for inspiration and sometimes an idea will pop out at me that I can copycat.  Of course, I wound up ordering a couple of things.  I thought a change to our dining area would be nice and ordered this burlap with jute fringe tablecloth.

108 inch Fringed Burlap Tablecloth

Our dining table is 48” round so I couldn’t resist the sale price on this tablecloth.  Although, I will have to remove it when we are going to be eating at this table since it is dry clean only.

The second thing I ordered was this indoor/outdoor rug, which was also on sale.  I put this down in the laundry room area.

Antique Letter Indoor Outdoor Rug | Rugs | Ballard Designs

It will need a rug pad underneath to keep it from slipping, especially since the entrance to the house from the garage is here and that is the entrance we use.  Don’t need anyone slipping!  That’s on backorder, so for now we are being careful.

Excuse the mess ~ I was doing a bunch of laundry and just shoved things out of my way so I could put this rug down to see how it looked.

I have one more thing I just want to get for the dining area.  I hope to have that by Wednesday and will share it with you later this week.  It is something I finally decided on after going over different options, so I’m excited to finally get it done!

I love Ballards too. My burlap table cover is from them and the little table underneath is too. The new rug is very cute. I got one from them a little while back that has French wording on it but I used it as a table accent. Sounds weird but it's cute. I like your pumpkin centerpiece- cute!

Very pretty choices. I have a couple of items here in our tiny cottage from Ballard. :)
Have a happy one, Kathy!

I've always been a big burlap fan. I scour the Ballard catalog every time I get one for ideas. I've knocked off so many of their things over the past few years! I can't afford (or justify) ordering from them, but I've been pretty happy just to get their great inspiration. I love a challenge! That rug is a personal favorite of mine. We're in the process of redoing our family room, and that rug on a larger scale would be awesome. Now if I could just convince the hubby!

love that rug Kathy..

My poms wont allow me a table cloth that close to the floor-wink-..it would be a bunched doggie bed in about 5 minutes.. so enjoy yours twice as much since I cant have one.

cant wait to see what else you got.
I bought half the fabric I needed so maybe by next week I'll have something to show too.

I love your Ballard purchases. I've had my eye on that burlap tablecloth, too! The rug was such a great choice for your high traffic area. I think you'll love it! :)

LOVE your new treasures = and am impressed with your discipline of tossing catalogs. They are a big weakness of mine too, but I don't have your gumption. Ballard, Rest Hardw and PB and my three favs. Though I love Wisteria and another something Lane too. Dangerous spending lol.

Love the way your jute tablecloth looks. Dryclean only? That's a danged shame! Ugh. But sometimes beauty matters just that much, huh? Hugs.

Ballard's is my weakness, too! I love the burlap tablecloth (perfect for Fall), and the rug is awesome! Wonderful additions, indeed!

Love what you ordered. That tablecloth is gorgeous, but the dry clean only would stop me in my tracks. The boys are slobs, lol, so it would be forever at the dry cleaners.

Love, love your new tablecloth and the carpet is sooo pretty! I just received the Pottery Barn catalog. Haven't looked at it yet, but it is sitting on my craft room counter waiting. :) Enjoy the rest of your day!

Hi Kathy, I know how you feel about looking at those catalogs. I'm fighting with myself over a couple of things from RH right now! I really love that rug and tablecloth. It's good to treat yourself to something you really want now and then. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you bought.
