Well, I transformed it again for Christmas! Everything you see here I got from my backyard. I cut some tree branches and spray painted them white.
Some branches from a very large pine tree in our yard; an evergreen bush with some interesting leaves; a ground cover bush with some red berries on it and my painted white branches.
Lots of nice shades of green with different shapes and textures. I love it!
And yet, I feel it's missing a little something . . .
Linking up to DIY Day at A Soft Place to Land.
I love it! The bulbs add just the right finishing touch. I want to do something like this to my barren front porch, but it's so windy up there I'm afraid it will all blow away. Maybe I'll put a brick in the bottom of the planter?
All the different textures and colors of the branches and vines really make your pot look wonderful!
very pretty...nothing says christmas like fresh greens you've arranged yourself!
That looks fab, Kathy. I love the look of mixed fresh greens all combined together. And the bit of color from the ornaments add just the right little something. I just went "foraging" around my yard yesterday for my outdoor greenery decor. Isn't it fun?!
Did you get some snow this past weekend?
That looks great! I love the fact that you were able to use everything out of your own yard. Very creative with beautiful results.
I never saw that one you did for fall - so pretty! Both of them are great!
I love it! It's just beautiful, you really transformed it.
Girlfriend, it's GORGEOUS!!! I wish I could have you over here for a cup of coffee and a good long visit... (which translates to: I wish you could come over and rearrange my whole house!) ;)
I just attempted the same look yesterday by our front door. I must say, you clearly have a better selection of greens in your yard! Looks great.
Hi Kathy! Thanks for coming over and leaving another sweet comment. Your outdoor arrangement is lovely. I love using things over and over.
I also wanted to say thank you for the "% things" article. I never got over to say that but it was really fun to read all the comments;)
My Desert Cottage
I just love it! I love a mix of different greeens just thrown together and the results of yours is perfect.
I am going to do that at Le Chateau...thanks for the insiration!
So pretty! I love natural decor elements!
Very Christmasy! Love the mix of textures!
Kathy~Each transformation makes it look like an entire new pot. Both so beautiful and festive.
I'm going to use your menu template for our Christmas Buffet.
I let my lil' family pick what they'd like for dinner. This year they voted(unanimously)for a Mexican buffet, with an ALL home cooked menu.
I haven't been able to post since my computer is having problems. First the camera now this. I will be back soon...hopefully.
Sweet holiday wishes,
That's so funny - as soon as I saw the sticks photo I thought, "Oooo- It just needs some dingle balls!" Perfection.
Love the fall one too - do I have to pick a favorite?? ;)
Just wonderful Kathy...you are to clever and I loved that you used hat you had....hope all is well on your side of the mountain my friend...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
The ornaments were exactly what it needed! Perfect!
That looks lovely. I love being able to just change things out for the holidays. The ornaments are a great touch.
Kathy...the pot looks beautiful. At first I thought you were going to turn the white pumpkins into a snowman. But you probably already have a real one in your front yard.
