Refresh Of A . . . Um . . . Thingamabob

2013 06 12_1572

As you can tell, I’m not really sure what to call this “thing” I picked up for $3.00 at our community garage sale about a month ago.

SONY DSC

It’s got two baskets {that lift up}and four hooks on the bottom.  I think it would be great to use in a kitchen displaying some dishes and holding either towels or aprons, in a bathroom with rolled up towels in the baskets, or even outside with the baskets planted with flowers and the hooks holding some small garden tools.

I wanted to give it a refresh because I wasn’t feeling that green color.  I sprayed it with Rustoleum’s Heirloom White 2x coverage spray paint.

I found a spot where I could hang it up and style it to give a few ideas for its use.

I will ask my daughter if she is interested in it, otherwise it is going to the booth.

Kathy, I love that little "thingamajig". Since I collect pink & white china, I think that looked the best. It also looks much prettier painted white than the green.

I love what you did with the "thingamabob"! I have always used that word (is it a word???) and my husband thinks it's so funny.

I think you have some wonderful ideas for the thingamabob! So many creative uses! Don't you just love heirloom white spray paint? I just bought another can this weekend. I always like to have it on hand as my go-to color for so many things. :)

I really like it in the bathroom. It seems quite useful and looks very nice there. I would really like to know what the original purpose was for the "thingamabob".

I bet it was at one time filled with silk flowers when it was all the rage to decorate with fake flowers. Oh, have fun at your sons graduation...bring the tissue, when they play the entrance song for the graduates...Oh, it really gets you!!
