Quick Last Minute Gift

This is a quick last minute gift but also a project I had been wanting to try for some time after seeing it at Kim at Twice Remembered's blog. You can do any color scheme for this project and I was able to use some small scrap pieces of scrapbook paper.

I spray painted six clothespins black last night and used the hanger tip that Kim gives. It worked out great, allowing me to get to each area with the paint. This morning I got my papers together and cut the strips one for each side of the clothes pin.

I used Mod Podge {on the clothes pin} and put the paper on one side at a time. Then did a top coat of Mod Podge.

I cut a magnet sheet into pieces that I could attach to the back. I decided to use these on my refrigerator for now, but you don't have to put magnets on them. If you check out Kim's post you will see how she is using them.

Here they are on said refrigerator. And look, there is the sonogram picture of the little peanut that is my grandchild!

These were so quick and easy, I decided to paint six more with white spray paint and covered them in baby themed scrapbook paper for my daughter.

Decoupage Day

Well, actually decoupage night since I do most of my crafting and projects in the evenings and weekends. I thought this would save on sponge brushes and maybe I'd get a little more done in one sitting. I had whatever projects would require some Mod Podge prepped and ready.

So, I painted what needed painting, picked out scrap book papers for each project and cut what needed cutting. In assembly line fashion, I'm working on these projects.

Monogrammed napkins on plastic white dishes:

Plastic dish from Target and Monogram napkins from Home Goods. I'm making two of these. I first saw this project on Melissa at 320 Sycamore's blog {thank you Beth!}.

Love the scrolls and the fleur de lys!

The plaque portion of my "P" monogram plaque:

This is everything unpainted. I love these little appliques ~ they really add a nice touch. Everything here got a coat of black paint.

I don't know why this posted sideways, but this is the plaque ~ painted and with its scrapbook paper ready for Mod Podge.

The base of my "Family" sign from the dollar store:

Tomorrow is Glue Gun Night, when I hope to put the finishing touches on some of these projects as well as a few others that just need putting together. Hopefully, I'll have all these projects completed so that I can share them next week and link up to some blog parties!
