A plain lidded jar found at Goodwill.
A plastic Folger’s coffee jar in the background in the picture below. It’s red lid sitting to the side.
An empty soup jar and an unsuspecting wooden finial.
Transformed, with labels from The Graphics Fairy, some scrapbook papers, some tags.
Some Mod Podge to adhere the labels and paper to the jars, and a coat on top once that dried. A light but fully covering coat. Once dried a quick and careful clean up with a paint scraper razor leaves it looking clean and crisp.
One or two little additions and I think I’ll call these done. You see the round wooden knob I have on the red lid ~ I’ve changed my mind against that. I still need to work on the genie-looking bottle in the background of this picture above. It needs something special though, I think, and I’m waiting for that idea to hit me.
How clever you are!!! I hope you have a fab weekend, Kathy! Very little creating for me this week . . just in my head :)
Plain jars no more is right! They are beautiful now. Something you would want to display.
Sweet! Just picked up truckload of thrift store goodies myself. Will post their makeovers soon!
Girl, you are on a roll! Such creativity! I just love the Graphics Fairy! Need to get back over there for some "paper" inspiration!
Have a great day!
Kathy, you never cease to amaze me at the different ways to decorate!!! I love them!
They look great Kathy! Hope all is well, busy here!
You are so doggone creative Kathy! I really like how you transformed the jars. I cannot wait to see what you do with the other bottle.
Ooooooo love these!!
I have that same Harlequin paper! I posted a tray makeover with it today!
I love the one with the finial! I have some small bottles I need to makeover this weekend. Going back and forth as to whether to make them for Halloween or add a French touch to them. Decisions, decisions...
Oh my, these jars are so pretty. Great creativity . I love how you have transformed all of them. That's an idea I may have to borrow. Love it.
Also thank you so much for your sweet birthday wishes. I had a super day. Hugs, Marty
These look great. What a wonderful way to repurpose the plain jars.
How's the grand baby doing?
Cathy the jars are adorable! You are good at this. Precious! :)
Those really turned out cute Kathy. I just used one of Graphic Fairies labels the other day for my first mod podge project of my own, which I've yet to post. I love how cute your jars come out. And to think someone somewhere is throwing one away while going to Hobby Lobby to pay $$ for a decorated one.
Have a lovely weekend. Hugs....Tracy :)
Way to bling some plain jars and make them fabulous!
You've been busy! Those are fabulous ways to dress up plain jars!
What a great idea, very creative! I would never have thought to glue a final on a plain jar but it worked out great! Thanks for sharing, Nan
