Easter Tablescape

I am definitely no expert at setting a table, but I do enjoy making sure I have everything out that I think we will need for our meal.  I try to make it look as pretty as possible, even though, in a matter, of minutes, it is all in disarray!

I had wanted to do a different kind of “basket” on each persons place setting, but it wasn’t working out for me, so I had to get creative with what I had.

These are those single serve rice containers.  I was saving them anyway for use with Mod Podge or paint so I had enough to use them for this.

I found the free downloadable place cards and the pieces I used to put together my “lollipops” at It’s Always A Party At The Parkers blog.  What a great blog for party ideas!

I have like a thousand popsicle sticks I keep in a tin container and every so often they come in handy for things like this.

Some Easter grass, a plastic egg with some more chocolate in it, little chocolate bunnies and it’s done.  Just enough for the adult kids to get their candy fix.  Since my granddaughter is not old enough yet, she got a little gift instead of candy.

My dishes are Noritake Brookhollow and these are my “good” dishes that I picked out for my bridal registry 26 years ago.  I still love them and I’m sure it has something to do with the fact that I don’t use them all the time.  I admire them every time I do take them out of the hutch, though.

I guess I liked a scalloped edge even then!

Good food, good fun, good times!

Your little rice baskets turned out great! I love your pretty dishes -- I can see why they still charm you. This is such a welcoming Easter table.

I have always loved the Brookhollow pattern. We picked Barrymore because of the peach and seafoam green infatuation I had at the time. :) But, Brookhollow was my 2nd choice and in hindsight should have been my first! Beautiful table!

Hi Kathy, I like the dishes and have a similar set in a pretty floral that I use on rare occasion. The table looks great, and I may have to get me some popsicle sticks too!

Darling table setting! Uh oh, we could get in trouble together! I see the pink chair you like, the black and white painted furniture and ruffles! It's a good thing we don't live close by! I love your blog! Thank you for stopping by mine, I've been terrible at updating of late. :)
