It’s Absolutely Crazy Right Now!

I am so thrilled to finally have a booth to call my own!  What comes along with that, though, is lots of scrambling to get things together and into that booth.  I mentioned that, when I signed up, I am paying rent for April.  That means I want to get in there as soon as possible.  Having only a few medium to small things, I showed you the stool and footstool I made over quick.

Thursday I ran out to the local antique mart {basically down the road} and went in looking for a table, a bookcase and whatever else I thought might work for display purposes, at a good price.  This local place is great for “makeover material”.  I found this table for $27.00.

Since I’m looking to get things ready quickly, I just pulled out my handy dandy Harlequin stencil and used it on the top with some Antoinette chalk paint.

I also found this drawer bookcase for $27.00.

Isn’t it neat?  I repainted the shelves in Coco chalk paint, add a lace tape trim to the shelves, and added some of the Ballard Design script wrapping paper to the back.

Finally, I found this chalkboard.  I could make one for myself, but this vendor has done all the work and it was only $16.50, so I picked it up.  I’ll use this to put my booth number and name on.

My rug from Walmart came on Friday, as well, which was really fast!  I’m thrilled about that because really the rug needs to go down first before I start putting stuff on the floor.  Pictures to come soon!  Just remember, it will be a work in progress.  I’m looking forward to sharing the journey with you!

Great finds! Don't forget Craigslist for an old dresser or armoire! Great for displaying pieces and giving a shabby/Frenchy feel to the space.

I am so excited for you Kathy! I loved having my booth but didn't make enough money to justify it. But I miss it so much and thinking about some other brick and mortar selling venue. I had a really hard time finding display pieces for my booth that wouldn't take up much room. Looks like you did great! Can't wait to see it finished. xo

Kathy,
That little table is so cute...sure it will go fast. I had a set of tables that sold in one day last week (that's how I like it). Took in a great old gym locker today...hope it goes fast too. Looking forward to seeing more pics of your space.

Blessings,
Linda
