Fall Fabrics {2009}

This post was inspired by a Calico Corners email I received. I decided to click on through and see what they had for Fall and I was glad I did! I love these colors; some of which we've seen already {like the grays, the purples and the oranges}, but used in varying shades and patterns that keep them fresh for Fall.

This collection below, I could see in a dining room, living room, family room, home office ~ so versatile.

Silver Lining Fabric Collection

I love the blues in this next collection. I would love to do a master bedroom with these fabrics. I would say they would satisfy the man and lady of the house!

Geometrics Fabric Collection

Love the purple and green shades together.

Garden Party Fabric Collection

I love the idea of this Annie Selke collection for a girl's bedroom. A very fun mix!

Annie Selke Fabric Collection

The blue and orange together here just pop for me.

Eastern Influence Fabric Collection

This one fabric I couldn't resist putting in because it reminds me of the mousepad included in my giveaway.

Aviary in Tangerine

Which gives me the great opening to remind you to enter my See Jane Work Giveaway running all this week! Four lovely items chosen by the nice people at See Jane Work just for this giveaway.

I love their new collections too! I love your idea about doing a little (or big!) girl's room all in the Annie Selke fabrics - that would be perfect. Great post!

I'm a fabric nut, Jane! I love looking at fabrics.

That was my first thought when I saw that fabric collection, Christine. It's fun enough to grow with a girl, I think.

I think purple and green make for a nice combination, Sandy.

I know, Tammy; and you're so lucky!!

We used to have a location not too far away, Lisa, but they closed it and moved almost an hour away from me. I really miss going in and looking around; getting things people ordered and never picked up at a great discount ~ sigh.

I've been poking around Calico Corner's website too... a coupon came in the mail the other day and I'm determined to use it! There's a store not too far from me so I'll drive over one day soon to play with all the pretty fabrics in person... just as soon as I make up my mind what I might need some new fabric for!!

Dear Kathy,
Loved your colorful choices in fabric collections! And for those who don't live near a Calico Corners store, they have more than 2,500 fabrics online (including all those in the photos) and a liberal swatching policy--they'll send 4 swatches for a $5.95 shipping charge...larger swatches are available too, at a discounted price. Finding a fabric that you love is the easiest way to decorate--it will help you find the right colors for the room in paint, carpet and other accessories.

The Annie Selke collection is making me pine away for a little girl. You have a great collection of fabrics here but the bright and vivid always speak to me.

I've been a big fan for many years, too, Tiaa!

They are, aren't they, Manuela. They really caught my eye.

Tracy, when you're there, check in the back and see if they still have the orders people never picked up. You can get some great deals.

Hi Jan! Thanks for visiting! I absolutely agree; it's a great starting off point to put together a color scheme for a room.

There is just something about the colors in the Annie Selke collection that made me think girls room. Very fun and vibrant!

Hi Kathy, Did you know Calico is having a big fall sale right now thru October 3, and all fabrics are 15-50% off? Labor and furniture are on sale, too. Great time to start a new project!

I adore all the blues! But the fall colors really catch my eye.

Oh my goodness! I love fabric. I could spend all day in a fabric shop, especially digging through the remnant bin. Thanks for sharing these lovely fabrics with us!

Hi Anne ~ That may have been what that email was for!

Very warm and homey, arent' they, Laura?

Hi PK ~ Yes, I am as well. Just had to donate a bunch of remnants.

Hello Miss Mustard Seed! The remnant bin gets me in trouble because I buy what catches my eye with no clear idea of how I will use it.

This looks like a lovely style upgrade for Calico Corners (since the last time I was there). We live in Canada but only 20 min. across the border and all the US stores are at our fingertips. I shall revisit Calico Corners now that I see some things I like. thanks for letting us know. Happy to have you following Gift Wrap 101.

Thanks for coming by, Sande! Wow, you are close to the border. Nice that you can visit U.S. stores as well. I would definitely visit Calico Corners again.

I think there is enough of a variety here that there is something for everyone to like. Good to see you again, Kathy!
