Another Goodwill Frame Project

I can only do quick projects right now, and preferably using what I’ve got on hand already.  First, it’s just too hot and I don’t feel very creative and second, is the thing I can’t talk about yet {although, it’s not business related}.  So, what do you do?  You look through what you’ve got stashed away and see what you can make with it.  One of the things I had stashed away was this picture I picked up from a trip to Goodwill several months ago.

I got it for the frame but didn’t have anything in mind for it at the time.  Frames always come in handy at some point anyway, so it went into the “to make something with at some point” pile.  I had also ordered these Alice collage papers several months ago.

These sheets are great!   So many images to choose from.

Having done the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party post I thought one of the pictures we took of my granddaughter would be great to use for this frame and incorporate those collage papers.  I even found an old paint sample book that had a blue paint sample that would work to use with the picture, since the opening is not standard to a regular picture.

Easy enough! Take off the back, dispose of the old picture, Mod Podge a whole sheet of the Alice collage paper over the mat, attach my picture with its paint sample background and done.

I had been thinking of how I could cut out the images and how to use them around the mat when it dawned on me to just do the whole sheet intact! It made things much easier, too.

A customized mat and picture to hold a perfect memory of a perfect day!
