Since I put all the Christmas decorations away, I am trying to come up with some different vignettes. One area I want to do differently is the chest I use as a buffet in our dining area. I love brown and white transferware {well, I love all transferware really} and wanted to do something that included the transferware topiary I purchased from Nancy of Nancy’s Daily Dish last year.
I bought it specifically for this wire cloche and, while I had this cloche here before Christmas, I wanted to mix things up a little bit. I also wanted to use some fabric on this buffet, so I went to my fabric bins and found this brown and white toile that I had used for my sewing table’s skirt.
Of course, it had to have a ruffle, so I used some scraps of Osnaberg that I had saved. I measured the buffet top, cut and sewed the sides, then added the ruffle fabric to the ends.
I just received something I ordered off Etsy and will be putting my new vignette together today. I need to iron the runner, too, but couldn’t wait to see how it looked on.
