A Quick Craft Project ~ Tissue Paper Flowers

Several weeks ago I purchased a few packages of tissue paper at Christmas Tree Shops to make some tissue paper flowers.  It had been something I wanted to do {having not done this type of craft since I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn}.  I finally found a minute to sit down and put these together.

I did a couple of pink ones for my craft/sewing room and I cut one with curved edges and one with pointy edges.  They make me think of the peonies and dahlias I had at my old house.

I made one the full size of the tissue paper sheets and one smaller by cutting a few inches off before doing the accordion folds.   I followed this tutorial from Imperfectly Beautiful {which also brings you to the Martha Stewart tutorial}.

Since the package also had some blue tissue paper, I decided to make one for my granddaughter’s room.  Blue is the accent color in her bedroom that I did a make-over on {here}, and I thought it would look cute hanging from a corner.

I stuck it in her stroller, which has to go back to their house, so it will remind me to bring the flower.  I did the blue one with the pointy ends, too.

Pretty and quick project, and with all the colors of tissue paper you can make them to go with any party/celebration theme or any room you choose to decorate with them.

Pretty, they bring back memories.
Did you see the comment that Elisabeth left on my post about you?
No sales this week-end.....what will we do? Maybe I will find some in Colorado.......but they probably won't let me stop.
