Cupcake Stands

I saw these little cuties on Nothing But Country a week or so ago and knew I just had to try them out.  I’m going to use them for that tea party I keep talking about {button on my sidebar}.

I decided to do three and bought three little round plaque pieces and a package of these little candlesticks.  I was actually looking for short {wider} candlesticks, but my Michaels never has them!

Just hot glued them together.

I picked up two more colors of spray paint to add to one I already had on hand.  I decided to go with some fun sherbert-y looking colors.

Since I don’t have any real cupcakes on hand, here is my faux cupcake as a stand in.  Cute!

The Joss & Main Giveaway is still going on!  Click here to enter for a chance to win a $100.00 e-spree!

Adorable and I love the colors you chose! And smart spray painting in the box. I've been using craft paper and if there is even the slightest gust of wind, it's all over the place. S is not happy when that happens!

Kathy, you are too clever. The stands are adorable! Question- a while back you made a runner out of tea toweling (from, I think). Do you remember the name of the fabric so that I could order some? It could be that they are just out of it. Whenever someone in blogland does a great project, like yours, there is a sellout! Linda

Hi Kathy-

These little stands look as scrumptious as the cupcake you have on top of them (it looks real). I just adore the colors you used. Spray paint colors sure have come a long way. I remember when you could only get white, black, red, green, and blue. Mostly primary colors. Love the brights and the pastels.
Is the cupcake sitting on a little tulle wreath. - that is pretty special, too.

My best-Diane

This idea is just too cute and clever. I could see using these for a birthday party and then letting each guest bring them homw as a party favor.
