Our mini makeover in the master bathroom has started here. Spackling has been done and the ceiling is going to be painted first. By the time you read this, I am hoping the walls are painted. My husband removed the countertop that was in between the two sink vanities and we are going to put a cabinet type of thing in that empty space. He will frame out the two sides of the mirror to make it look like it is two mirrors without having to remove the whole long mirror. Kind of like this idea except that middle section would be a separate piece of furniture. I have found a piece online that I was able to order locally and I look forward to sharing that with you once the bathroom is all done. The only downside is that it can take up to 4 weeks. Something like these ideas would be great. Or something like this bookcase below. Another bookcase above and a glass door piece below. New vanity tops are on the list besides the painting going on in here. I’m sure he will be working on this all week. I already can’t wait for it to be done!

Ah, a shop vac in the middle of the bathroom....been there! I love your ideas and I can't wait to see it all come together.
Can't wait to see it. Love your inspiration pics.
What a great idea to frame the large mirror as two separate ones! Our master bath has the mother of all wall mirrors and I've always wished it were two separate mirrors instead. I'll be really interested to see how it goes for you. Good luck!

I can't wait to see what you come up with Kathy! I love the idea of something with doors and charm to it that makes it feel even more like its own piece of furniture.
So exciting to be making lots of fun changes!!
Aren't you brave, Kathy! It's going to be wonderful! I would go with the cabinet with the doors below and glass above, simply because there's only so much that can be stored in an appealing way, and besides, towels in the bottom open shelves I would think they wouldn't stay very clean--just sharing my ideas as you mull them all. :) Can't wait to see the end result!! ~Zuni
Hi Kathy, your bathroom is going to be fabulous. You will love the framed mirror. We did that to one of ours and it looked amazing. How great to put the cabinet in the center. So much more storage and we can all use that.
Love all your inspirational pics
Have fun.

More storage space - yay!
Kathy, I love your inspiration pictures! I can't wait to see your reveal! Looks like your sweet husband has his work cut out for him! It will be lovely though!
I am so looking forward to seeing your finished bathroom. Love all of your inspiration pictures! It will all be worth it, even if it doesn't feel that way now.
I can't wait to see the finished bathroom.

The fun of designing and demolishing is only the first step to the satisfaction of a new and beautiful bathroom. Love your ideas.
Hi Kathy, love your inspiration photos. I could look at homes all day. It would be wonderful to own many houses, so we can have different designs. How exciting for you. Cant't wait to see your new look. Thanks for coming by.
Oh how exciting- this is going to be a completely different space, Kathy! I am so happy for you.
We have our youngest daughter's wedding in the summer so I have had to stop my big dreams, so settled just before the holidays on repainting the master bathroom and taking down the mirrors and putting up new ones - it's given me a nice change without the huge expense - but next year it's new countertops and gutting shower and redoing, it needs it soon.
Looking forward to watching your progress on this space! ♥
framing the mirror into a two mirror look is so clever, kathy:) a handy husband is worth his weight in gold!
It's going to be amazing! I can't wait to see!!
How exciting! I look forward to seeing the completed project.
You have some really great ideas for finishing your bathroom. I will look forward to seeing it completed. We have not done much updating around our house in some time.
Kathy, how exciting and what great ideas. I can't wait to see this finished beauty!
