A couple of frames from Goodwill {at $2.99 each}, a little bit of craft paint and a scrap of fabric.
This first frame I just cleaned up and used the sheet music graphic as a background and the children graphic on top. I'm thinking I might hang this on the wall behind one of my little Christmas trees that I will be putting in my front entry {since the sheet music is entitled "Around the Christmas Tree"}.
The second frame I took red and black craft paint {since the red was a bit bright} and dulled the red a bit with the black. I just painted the inside groove of the frame with the red. I used a red fabric scrap that has a gold scroll design for the background and used the Christmas fairy graphic on top of that.
This red actually works in my big den with the red drapes I recently got from Target and the pillows from Kohl's. I think that is where it will call home for the holidays.
This just goes to show that you don't need to spend a lot of money making decor for your own home for the holidays or even to give as gifts.
I am linking this post up to Brag Monday over at The Graphics Fairy.

Graphics Fairy sure has a lot of great stuff - I need to spend some time one of these days checking it out. I like your tip about dulling the red down with the black - great job on your newest addition to Christmas decor!

I love that you framed the images! I can't wait to do something with the red christmas image.
Love your thrifty ingenuity! Now there are 3 of us this week who used the poinsettia girl image...I love your simple framed picture, it makes a lovely decoration.
What a wonderful idea! It's amazing what some inexpensive clip art or magazine clippings can transform into with a little ingenuity. Love this idea as a hostess gift for holiday parties, in particular.
Those look great. I just love vintage Christmas decorations.

These turned out great Kathy!!! I really like how you layered these. The image at the top, the one with the children, came out of a very old scrapbook that belonged to my Great Grandmother. It's so much fun for me to see this image being used in such a lovely way. Thanks for playing along for another "Brag Monday"!
So pretty and creative!!
These are great! The fabric looks great with that print. Karen always has such good graphics.
Kathy,
Oops, I submitted my first comment under the wrong post! Your frames turned out very nice, and I like you spent more creative energy then money.
