This one wasn't in the line-up for decoupage; it was just waiting for Glue Gun Night. Here are the components to this project.
A white tray from Michael's, unfinished wood balls {with a flat side}, scrap book paper and, below, these were unfinished wood fleur de lis that I painted black.
What I liked about the tray was that it came with a piece of plastic/plexi so that you can put something under it ~ pictures, scrapbook paper, fabric, anything flat and it would be protected by the plastic. This allowed me to use scrapbook paper just placed there {after cutting and taping to size} and I can change it out throughout the year. I will put a Christmas themed paper in there soon.
I painted the round balls white and glued them to the bottom of the tray as feet. I painted the fleur de lis black and hot glued them to each long side of the tray. That's this easy project done!
Here is how my napkin initial plate came out:
My initial plaque:
Since it can't always be about me, I now need to move onto making gifts!

Kathy your tray looks great! I did a couple of trays this past weekend that I am getting ready to post but never thought to add "feet" like you did. I love it! And I love the fleur de lis detail. Very NIce!!
I LOVE the tray, and the plate and plaque came out amazing too! What fun projects!
Those are really cute Kathy !
Love your projects! The changeable paper in the tray is a great idea!
Great projects. I love the black and white theme. My favorite is the napkin initial plate. Is a napkin hard to decoupage without tearing? I'll go back to your decoupage post and check it out.
Thanks,
Jane

Love all of them. I live in the DEEP DEEP south, and we monogram everything we can get our hands on! I want to do some monogrammed plates...Where are you all finding the initial napkins??
What fun things! I need to get busy and make some gifties for my friends. These are super ideas.

Kathy,
I can't believe that is a paper napkin on a plastic plate. It looks so elegant.
And the tray is fabulous too.
Good work!

Too funny, I just pulled out a try just like this and thought, hum...what can I do with this baby? Yours looks great! I love all of your projects. I especially enjoy seeing the letter "P" - my initial as well!

That plate is very cute. I think a small one of those would be a fabulous addition to a bathroom as a jewelry holder. I talk about how I use little china plates for that here, http://tearinguphouses.blogspot.com/2009/09/before-and-after-little-blue-house.html , but I think it would be more interesting to have a personalized one like yours.

Wow u have been busy. What cute projects! I love the way the plate came out.
OOOOOOH I love it! Doesn't putting "feet" on anything just make it better? and the napkin plate....faaaabulous!!!

Beautiful projects, I love the black and white theme and of course the fleur de lis!
I love those...my last name begins with an F. It just seems weird to have F's hanging around my decor ya know? But you can get away with a P.
