Silver Finds At Goodwill

I donated some things to Goodwill Saturday.  Fairs fair right ~ I get stuff from them, I should bring stuff to them!

A couple of the things I found were again silver and I was so happy to find an UGLY silver tray that I can paint with chalkboard paint!

I found these two cute little holders.  I was thinking they might be good to put votive and pillar candles in {or not}.   I have no idea what they might have been meant for, although they may just be purely decorative pieces with no real purpose.  I liked them though.

GW was good to you this week. The silver bowls will come in handy for so many things. Make sure you post your chalkboard when you finish it.

I have something similar to the middle one, it's an oval shape and I use it as a bread basket.

That first tray will make a great chalkboard. I hesitated when I did mine but I never used it and now I do :)

Have a wonderful Silver Sunday!

I too want to see your finished project with the chalkboard paint. Great finds this week! Unfortunately I'm purhcasing more than I'm giving away these days. I really should correct that as my cupboards are bulging!! ;-{

oooo...that last tray is gorgeous!
The second one looks like it would be good for serving rolls:)

Such great finds. I think the tiny one was probably a candy dish or for nuts and the other one I have seen used for bread. The tray is wonderful. I can't wait to see it all finished. Hugs, Marty

Can't wait to see how that one tray comes out with chalkboard paint! Pottery Barn has been showing a lot of them in their catalogs.

When I fall in love with somethiing that has no real purpose, I just put potpourri in it and call it good. Looks good, smells good so - score :)

Good finds...I can't tell from the picture how big the middle piece is, but I've seen some like it that are bread baskets. Might be what you have. Have fun chalkboarding your tray.

I had to stop by, you had Goodwill in your title, a gal like me. I donate every month to this fine store. It just means that I clean out space at home, to then bring home more stuff. By the way, I bought yesterday, 3 trays for .50 cents each to turn into blackboards.
