An Owl Pillow For You Know Whoooo

Yes, the daughter. I had this illustration that I purchased from Michelle Palmer of a cute little owl.

I purchased it to make something with it for my daughter and she decided on a pillow.  She liked my bird pillow and wanted something similar to this, with the layering.

None of the fabrics I had on hand seemed to fit her style or personality, so I ordered this one from fabric.com.

A 12x12 pillow cover, layered with a piece of Osnaberg that was “pinked”, and then layered with the owl on top of that.  I used fabric glue for the first layer and the owl layer is sewed on at each corner with the buttons.

Afterwards I thought how cute a button for each color owl would look.

Ready to fly off to the daughter’s with all the other owls!

Cool owl fabric and great transfer overlay with the blue buttons. Next time (and I'm sure there will be a next time)you can use multi-colored buttons. See ya when I get back next week- how about we plan for Thursday? :-) Sue
