Find It For Less!

Last week I did a Find It For Less post on office furniture.  This week I thought we’d take a look at those crystal spheres/orbs/ball lamps that seem to be popular at the moment.  Let’s start with the expensive and work our way down.  Let’s also remember these are lamps, not bricks of gold.

lamp.horchow.358 Horchow

The first lamp is from Horchow.  This lamp is on sale for $358.00 {regularly in the high $700.’s}.

lamp.horchow.2.149.90 Horchow

A second lamp found at Horchow is also on sale for $149.90.

lamp.overstock.99.95 Overstock

The next lamp {above} is from Overstock and is $99.95.  Okay, we’re at least under $100.00 now!

lamp.jcp.89.99 JC Penney

JC Penney was the next store I checked out and they had a couple in this style.  They look much the same but have a $10.00 difference in price. The lamp above is $89.99.

lamp.jcp.79.99 JC Penney

This second one is $79.99.

lamp.target.69.99 Target

Then a favorite among many is Target.  Target had several lamps in this style with many price ranges.  The one above is their least expensive at $69.99.

lamp.pier1.30Pier 1

And the winner is this lamp from Pier 1, at an affordable $30.00!

Finding it for less is part of what I do for my clients and sometimes I take it as a challenge.  All these lamps are very similar, and shades can be changed out inexpensively if you don’t care for the one the lamp comes with.

Were you surprised to see where the least expensive lamp came from?

What a great deal. Changing the lampshade could give it a completely different look as well.

i'm surprised- i would have thought that pier one would be more expensive than a discount store for sure!

My favorite is the horchow one with the linen colored shade. Of course! The pier one lamp is pretty but I haven't had the best of luck with their lamps. I'd probably go somewhere in the middle. Great job on finding so many of these things! I had no idea EVERYONE had one!

I love these posts you do on comparison shopping!
$358? Ridiculous.
$30-ish--that I can do.
Thanks for these posts--it's like you are giving us coupons!
Hugs, girl!
Hey! When's that grandbaby coming?

Oh yay! I am so happy I found your blog! I love it. Not only because of the very useful recent post (I was looking for one of those lamps but $300.00 seemed too expensive so I'm headed over to Pier1), but because I love your style. I'll be back often. Take care.

Hi Kathy-
You have a great eye and a passion for finding the deal. Did you find any at Home Goods? They seem to always have a deal or two. I think I like the Pier One lamp the best.thanks for showing us that with a little searching and luck you can really save money and have great style at the same time.
I hope you have an great Memorial Day weekend.
My best- Diane

I have that lamp from Target in my guest bedroom, I got it on sale a few years ago! I just found 2 great lamps...one at HomeGoods for $50 that I swear I had seen somewhere else for well over $100 and one at Marshall's for $30.
